THE FILM IS COMPLETED!!!! SALUT, CIAO, HALLO, HEI, MOI, MERHABA, HEJ, LABAS, ZIVJO, HOLA!!! That's all i can remember from the top of my head right now, so yes. haha Well well, so what brings me here after a month of no updates?! GREAT NEWS! So after a crazy hectic week doing our sound design and trying to perfect it (BRAVO @ FAT), we've gone down to Blackmagic Design and had them kindly output everything into HDSR tape, (i hope i got that right), and we also have a high-res quicktime file of our completed film, which is about 100GB, so.... I don't know how we're going to put that in our hard drives, haha. Final submissions for everything is TOMORROW. (friday) Our POSTER is DONE. we love it, grâce à ATQ :) I'll upload it over here so you can see it :) We're (mostly atq) now working on our EPK (behind the scenes stuff for the DVD) and we're done with our trailer! :D I hope fat's doing alright with the paperwork stuff. haha so yes, that is what has been happening! :) On a side note, I want to add that "The 25th of Laura", a film made by Joshua, myself, and 4 others, has been selected as a finalist for the Singapore International Film Festival!!! *PRAY FOR US* But yes, I only wanted to say that, even though it's not easy to make a film, with all the things we go through, that might have made us want to bite our own heads off (don't know how that's possible) GOOD THINGS CAN HAPPEN. and it doesn't even have to be winning an award. :) So to all filmmakers, just do what you love and believe that something could happen :D Before i get even more clichéd and sappy, i will leave you guys with the poster. haha  | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

What we have left to do :) Hello to everyone who cares enough about our film to read this! haha Today we just had our "fine-cut" screening. Got some pretty constructive comments, and our Picture Lock is currently set for this Friday, which means that for the next few days, we will be further tightening our shots. We're going to try and push it from 10 mins to 8 :) Also, we will be making some changes with our narration, just here and there, and will probably be recording again some time in the next two weeks. (oh mon dieu that means i have to do more translations, ahhh quel nightmare) Tomorrow we will finally be recording the drums to add onto our "sound-wall" soundtrack, which I will have to re-record tonight because I don't think it's "perfect" enough, but I'm a perfectionist, so yes. Other than that, the music for our film is going pretty smoothly, thankfully my sleepless nights have paid off a little, and after our picture-lock, i have another 2 weeks or so to polish everything! I still have a little more composing to do though, so hopefully, one of these nights I will get possessed by Chopin and get inspired to write something wonderful, hehe. We're almost there! Hey y'all. Just wanted to make a quick update. Not much has happened since our re-shoots, since it was Christmas/New Year period. But we've already viewed our footage at BMD, all 4 rolls of film that we shot (still didn't manage to finish 12 rolls in the end, but give me a break about that) and everything is good! :) Well some of the hand-held shots in the car were a little wonky, but hell, that was fun to film! So I guess Atq would be starting on the edit soon, and hopefully by this week we'll be meeting up with some drummers in regards to our foley sessions anddddd I'm going to be working on a brand new soundtrack for the film, just to experiment with different feels. but of course, our finale piece isn't going to change. :) So, Happy 2010 to all of you et bonne santé! | ||||||||||||||||||

Update! Alright! Time for an update on this site. A looooottttt has happened since the last entry, but to keep it short, we did a 4-day shoot getting extra shots that will tighten up the film. Thank you to all who helped out in one way or another, we really needed all the help we could get! Much love for you. Film's being processed now, we should be having our BMD session next week where we view the stuff that we have shot. There were a couple of scenes that we re-shot, so I'm really excited to see how they'll turn out this time!       I think all the Angelique shots are in Zidd's D90. I shot some videos too and in high-definition, wooooo! So now that reshoot is over and the year-end holidays are here, I think I finally have the time to go back to working on the behind-the-scenes videos so stick around for that! | |||||||||||||||

It's pretty much a sneak peek of what we have on film and after tomorrow's session at Black Magic Design, I'll be spending my days (and maybe nights) at the editing lab. Oh yeaaaaahhhhhh! I'm still working on some behind-the-scenes videos. I've got lots of footage to sift through and after a power trip 5 minutes ago I'm trying to get my mac to detect my hard drive again......zzz. Anyway in other news I'm really missing everyone who's been on the Summer & Its Rain set. Kickass crew. Thank you to everyone who's made time to come down and help us. Thank you all for the hard work, thank you for the patience, thank you for the laughter and thank you for the sacrifices. Production days are over! So I'm worried mainly because my mac battery is already at 12% (and is still running as we speak) and I don't have access to any power plugs! I'm at Starbucks Pacific Plaza sorting out the remaining stuff I have to do with members of Team Left Hook (Sal and Adee). Sorry I haven't been updating much, been running around a lot. But guess what! PRODUCTION DAYS ARE OVER. Weeeheeeee! I hope we don't have to do anymore re-shoots because personally our team members are pretty satisfied with the stuff we have shot for the past two weeks. Tomorrow we'll have the final viewing of the rushes at Black Magic Design for the telecine session, exciting! After that Atq can camp herself in the NLE room and work on the edit hahaha. It'll be fun though because considering the genre and type of our film, the magic can only be done in post! And we have a lot of time in post to work around with the edit yay! It feels funny to be blogging here because I have to sound all professional and restrain myself from any form of profanity hahaha. so long my friends and please continue supporting/stalking our blog! Updates! Quick updates! 1. It turns out that FTS is only going to scan our film tomorrow, so we can only view our dailies on Tuesday. Personally the wait is driving me crazy, but I tell myself to be patient, haha. 2. I've properly recorded the raw piano file (sans other additional instruments) of our finale piece. 3. I'm absolutely dying to start composing the rest of the soundtrack, so hopefully I can get my hands on Lyonn's midi stuff soon!!! 4. The pictures are currently being uploaded onto here, give it some time because of the huge file sizes. So thank you ATQ for uploading them! :) Leaving you with a nice picture of Angélique with um... well, Joshua being Joshua :P From our day 1 shoot at MacRitchie Reservoir! :)  | |||

Oh nostalgia I know it's a good thing that we've finished filming but there's something about being on set that I miss, haha. The idea of running around the house trying to get the shots finished on schedule :) Oh gosh, it's Monday tomorrow! It shall be the last time my stomach goes all fuzzy worrying about my shots! Will I ever get to say "Rolling!" again? haha.  |
